On the waterfront

Zdarzyło Wam się kiedyś zainspirować stylem postaci filmowej lub serialowej? Czasem kreacje aktorskie są tak autentyczne, że chłoniemy każdy gest, słowo, sposób bycia bohatera.

Mnie zainspirował Marlon Brando w filmie „Na nabrzeżach“. Surowy krajobraz portowy, kontrastowość, wyraźna sylwetka bohaterka, jego prostota i funkcjonalność ubioru wywarły na mnie niemałe wrażenie. Buntownik walczący o lepszy świat. Całość zainspirowała mnie do do stworzenia tej sesji. Jako tło, to nie nabrzeże doku ani daleki Meksyk, ale krakowskie Zabłocie. Użyłam surowych materiałów (dżins, skóra) oraz męskich krojów, by wzmocnić tą kreację.

Teraz Wasza kolej! Zainspirowałyście się kiedyś postaciami fikcyjnymi? Nie tylko pod wzgędem ubioru, ale także zachowania. Jeśli tak, jestem ciekawa, jakimi!

Does it happened to you to get inspired with the style of the movie or series character? Sometimes the performances are so authentic that we absorb every gesture, every single word, a way of being of a hero.

I was lately inspired by the role of Marlon Brando in the "On the Waterfront" movie. Crude harbour landscape, the contrast, distinct personality of main character, its simplicity and functionality of clothing had considerable impression on me. Kind of rebel who is fighting for a better world. The whole image inspired me to create this session. What you see in the background, is not the harbour dock or distant Mexico, but Zabłocie in Krakow.

I used raw materials (denim, leather) and the some masculin style clothes to strengthen the performance.
